Zika virus

Chikungunya

Chikungunya is a viral disease transmitted to humans by infected mosquitoes and it causes fever and severe joint pain. Other symptoms include muscle pain, headache, nausea, fatigue and rash. Joint pain is often debilitating and can vary in duration. The disease shares some clinical signs with Dengue, and can be misdiagnosed in areas where Dengue is common. Dengue Fever

Dengue Fever is a viral disease which develops from mosquito bites during the day time. There is no treatment, only symptomatic relief. Symptoms include: High fever (40°C), severe headache, pain behind the eyes, muscle and joint pains, nausea, vomiting, swollen glands and a rash usually lasting for 2-7 days. WHO estimates 390 million cases of Dengue infections per year.
