Travel Vaccinations Available

During your appointment, the nurse takes you through your individual consultation and recommends suitable vaccines depending on your destination and medical history. Common travel jabs include: 

  • Yellow Fever – Transmitted by mosquitoes and potentially lethal, it can be prevented through a single vaccine that provides lifelong protection.
  • Japanese Encephalitis – A potentially fatal viral infection affecting the brain, transmitted to humans through the bite of an infected mosquito. 
  • Rabies – A deadly viral infection affecting the nervous system, transmitted through bites. 
  • Hepatitis A – A contagious virus, spread through contaminated food and water, that can lead to chronic liver disease and, in severe cases, death. 
  • Typhoid – A highly contagious bacterial infection resulting from inadequate hygiene practices and the consumption of contaminated water.

Car & Parking 

If you’re traveling by car, you can reach us via the A27 road if approaching from the north or we are a short distance up from the sea front. There is a small car park to the rear of the clinic. 

Accessibility 

Please note, our Hove Clinic currently does not offer wheelchair accessibility. We are continuously working to improve our facilities and services and appreciate your understanding.

History of the Clinic

Brighton & Hove Travel Clinic has been a pillar of the community since 2007, formerly operating as Sussex Travel Clinic and with deep expertise in travel health. 

Our clinic experienced nurses run the consultation with you and administer the vaccines. We also have a team of receptionists who will look after you before and after the appointment. 

We provide the full range of travel vaccines for example to protect against Rabies, Dengue Fever, Hepatitis A, Diphtheria, Tetanus and Polio. We are a registered Yellow Fever clinic. We also provide Sexual Health services such as HIV, chlamydia or gonorrhoea testing. We also administer general vaccinations, for example Chicken pox, Shingles or Whooping cough.
