Ebola update: 3 day curfew begins in Sierra Leone‏

The government have imposed a 3 day curfew in Sierra Leone which begins today to help prevent the spread of Ebola. Citizens must remain at home, indoors between 7am and 7pm. They are allowed out in their local area in the evening however all shops will remain shut. health workers will visit homes identifying possible ebola cases and providing families with soap to prevent spread of disease.

Over 2500 deaths from Ebola have been reported in West Africa so far. At present the World Health Organisation has enforced no restrictions on travel to and from infected countries. Visitors should wash hands regularly and thoroughly, use an alcohol hand gel throughout the day and avoid contact with sick people.
